CLINICS & DRILLS

Class Details

DVTA group classes begin with a warm-up, followed by the introduction of a general class focus. This focus is then re-inforced throughout the course of the class through drills, live points, and pointplay.

Class Benefits

At DVTA all of our classes are aimed at building a strong technical basis to support your game. By setting a focus for each class, DVTA pro’s are able to assist players in strengthening the basic movements that make up overall oncourt performance.

What if I have never played tennis before or I have not played in a long time?

If you are a novice tennis player, or if you have taken a extended break from the game, Green Dot activities are a good place to start. Green dot classes use low compression balls, which slows down the speed of play giving you more time to control the ball. During Green dot clinics, pro’s review tennis basics, including tennis terms, and proper technique. During Green Dot Matchplay, players can practice what they learned in clinics in a match setting overseen by a DVTA pro. Green Dot activities are perfect for players who would like to get back into the swing of things. At the end of the class, DVTA pro’s are available to make level recommendations, and direct you towards other DVTA clinics that would be a good fit for your level.

Can anyone participate in team practices?

Yes. Team practices are open to the public, but be prepared to be challenged by our team members. Team practices highlight doubles strategy in competetive situations, so if you are a del-tri sub, a member of a doubles team, or have a passion for competing, then DVTA team practices are for you.
